A.L. Gilbert Leadership

Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment is from December 7th to December 17th. This is the time of year when you can enroll in health insurance, make changes to your coverage, or cancel your plan.

California

In California, your plan has access to a network of doctors, hospitals, and providers from Anthem Blue Cross of California.

 

All Other States

In all other states, your plan has access to a network of doctors, hospitals, and providers from FirstHealth.

Find Care for Pharmacies

Our Programs

Telemedicine

Doctor On Demand gives you the peace of mind of seeing a board-certified physician right away through your smart phone, tablet or any desktop computer with a front-facing camera. The U.S.- based doctors treat hundreds of issues using a live, secure video chat, including 18 of the top 20 reasons people visit urgent care and the E.R. Mental health counseling is also available. Doctor on Demand doctors can send prescriptions to the pharmacy of your choice and can coordinate lab services as needed.

Doctor on Demand is available from the App Store, Google Play or online.

Health Management

A.L. Gilbert and Pinnacle offer a support program available at no cost to you. This service helps you manage your diabetes, asthma, high cholesterol (hyperlipidemia) and high blood pressure (hypertension) more effectively, helping you to live a healthier life. A.L. Gilbert covers all expenses associated with this program as part of their commitment to participant’s well-being.

Basic Life/AD&D

A.L. Gilbert offers a Basic Life and AD&D Insurance benefits to all active full-time employees, providing crucial financial protection for your loved ones in the event of your passing. Additionally, our Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage, provided through Reliance Standard, offers extra security if an accident results in the loss of life, limbs, or senses. Both benefits are provided at no cost to you, ensuring that you and your eligible dependents are well-protected.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

A.L. Gilbert provides an Employee Assistance Program at no cost to employees. The EAP program includes access to professional and confidential services to help employees and family members address a variety of issues. Access includes unlimited telephonic assessments and referrals and up to three in-person sessions.

Pinnacle works with health care providers and give them direct access to patient information via our convenient and proprietary online tool Online Provider Information System (OPIS).

When Do I Need a Referral

You can see an in-network provider of your choice without a referral. Authorization is required for inpatient admissions and may be required for other services, depending on your plan. Refer to your Summary Plan Description (SPD) for a complete list of services requiring authorization. SPDs are available in our secure member portal HealthView, under the “Benefit Materials” tab.
